What makes me happy

There are alot of things in life that make me happy. The main thing is being able to wake up everyday and to live. The other things include my family, my friends, skateboarding on sunny days, going swimming, getting new tattoos, and last but certainly not least, my beautiful fiance makes me extremely happy. I could say that college makes me happy but it doesnt but it makes me happy to think that its going to help me out with my life in the future =]

"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"

There aren't many events that i can compare this quote to. Atleast off of the top of my head. But if i had to think of one it would be when i played little league football in middle school. We had one more team to beat to make it into the playoffs and the week before our game, our quarterback fractured his wrist. So without a quarterback we initially thought we were going to be stomped into the ground. Sunday came around, it was raining, and it was just an overall bad day. We went out and played our hearts out. Our defense stepped up tremendously and they won us the game because they were able to keep the other team from scoring. This is similar to the quote i think because we all definitely thought we were going to lose due to the circumstances of not having our starting QB. And also the weather was very poor. But our defense stepped up and won us the game without us really needing our quarterback. They made "lemonade out of lemons." =]

Luck of the Irish

If i found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, i would more than likely first pay off the loans i have out on my car. Then i would definitely locate me a cheap decent house to live in. And last but certainly not least, i would build my own skatepark in my backyard. If i had anything left after doing all of that, i would give it to my family for them to share the wealth or i would invest some of it

Go Green JCTC Project/Blog

1.) I can say that I learned alot from this project because I was never aware of how many people did not recycle. And also how important it is for us to work on going green in our near future so that we will be able to help fix our planet. I kind of enjoyed the project but it's school work, of course im not going to like it. =] But I did learn alot from this project.

2.)Improvement? I dont really think there is anything to improve other than people getting more involved and being committed to their project.

3.) I learned alot but to be honest, not really fond of group work with people I dont know =]

4.) The only other time I have blogged was on myspace. Im not really sure if that counts so if it doesnt, then this was my first time actually blogging.

Going Green

In the picture to the right, it shows the Earth being coughing. When you cough you are usually sick. I used this picture because to me, this small cartoon of the Earth has a huge meaning. To me, this image shows the Earth sick. Why is the Earth sick? Because it is getting sick of all of our mistakes when it comes to recycling and "going green." Too many in our world do not recycle. As i've learned in my group project with "going green," less than 30% of the globe recycles. The Government is trying to give us answers to all of our past mistakes by giving us hybrid cars, electric cars, and even solar panels for our houses. But out of all those things i just mentioned, your average American cannot afford the costs of these items. And if the average American can't afford these things, how can other countries afford them when we are considered one of the wealthiest nations on the planet? All around the globe governments are trying to solve this crisis. But the answer is truly simple, RECYCLE! If everyone in the world would quit being lazy and pitch in to recycle and help make the environment a better place, we would not be having global warming. Again, to me, this picture means alot. It is just a creative cartoon but it's meaning is phenominal and i think that we must all come together if we ever expect our Earth to become as healthy as it once was

Stephen Colbert's view on the Olympics

"America loves the olympics because we get to go to war with everyone at once" said Stephen Colbert.
My thoughts on this quote is actually humorous because the U.S. does go to war alot. And for all the countries to come together and compete in one city, it's amazing to watch and hysterical to say that our nation is going to war with them all. So I agree with Stephen Colbert, but in a humorous way. The Olympics are a great annual event for the world to tune in to watch their country compete against the rest of the world and to say that it is war, well, you can call it that. =]
